About Us

ABOUT RIPPLE BROOK

We are a 27 acre family farm located in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.  We primarily grow grapes varieties, but also have interest in expanding to other fruits, vegetables, and berries.

Rachel and Zachary are the owner and operators of the vineyard.

Fiona is the 'Hospitality Specialist' and a farm hand.  When she is not riding her bike, crafting, playing soccer or watching Netflix, she makes herself useful by always handing out water and snacks to anyone working in the vineyard.  She also is known to love checking to make sure the vineyard is weed and stick-free.

Toben is the 'Trimming Specialist' and farm hand.  He is often busy with wrestling, soccer, reading, riding his bike and playing Minecraft.  When he is needed in the vineyard he loves to help with trimming and harvesting the grapes.  (As long as it doesn't go above about 85 degrees)

Adelaide is 'The Little Ball of Energy and Sunshine' as well as an indispensable farm hand at Ripple Brook.  When she is not at preschool, playing with her vast toy collection, or reading, she can usually be found outside exploring.  Pictured above, she is helping hand Rachel the tools needed to complete the winter trimming.

We work together as a family to grow quality grapes for jelly/jam or wine-making.

GRAPES VARIETIES AND WHAT WE GROW

Currently we have about 5 acres of grapes, including 4 different varieties: Concord, Vidal Blanc, Chambourcin, and Chardonel.  Additionally, we have some asparagus and raspberry plants and a small garden.  We try to grow sweet corn, however, it usually is sacrificed to the deer.
